Jenny Byrne

Clinical Psychotherapist working with Adults & Teens

Hi, I’m Jenny—welcome to my profile. I am deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative space for you to explore and grow. Together, we will work toward building resilience, clarity, and meaningful change.

I am a fully accredited psychotherapist, working with adults, teenagers (16+), and groups. I am accredited by both the IACP and IAHIP and hold full professional insurance.

My qualifications include a master’s degree in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, which I earned after completing five years of in-depth training. I also hold a certificate in Group Facilitation and Organisational Consultancy, with a focus on person-centred and systemic approaches, as well as a Level 8 certificate in Problematic Gambling and Gambling Disorders.

In addition to my psychotherapy training, I have gained experience and education in various areas, including social care. I am a facilitator for therapeutic crisis intervention programs and sexual violence awareness workshops for young people. My other areas of training include youth and community work, Autism, ADHD, trauma, dual diagnosis, child and adult psychology, addiction, sports coaching, and child protection.

With 26 years of experience in the caring professions—18 of which I have dedicated to psychotherapy—I have supported a diverse range of clients, including individuals, groups, adolescents, and adults. Each client brings their own unique journey, and I tailor our work to their evolving needs.

My approach to therapy is flexible and eclectic, incorporating elements from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing frameworks. I am also enthusiastic about the therapeutic benefits of animal-assisted interventions, and I currently have a therapeutic support puppy in training who accompanies me at select work locations.
