Is life challenging or troubling? Are you feeling ‘stuck’, lost or unfulfilled? Or is life stressful and overwhelming? Might it help to reach out to share what is going on for you and to have someone to simply listen?
Whether you’re dealing with distress in your life, or seeking a deeper connection with yourself, psychotherapy is a collaborative journey towards greater understanding, balance, and wholeness.
I am a qualified psychotherapist holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a pre-accredited member of IACP, the awarding body which ensures counsellors and psychotherapists work ethically, protecting the wellbeing of our clients.
I have been a volunteer counsellor with Village Counselling Services in Tallaght since 2023, working with diverse client needs among which include bereavement/loss, emotional difficulties such as anger, anxiety or depression, issues of identity/self-worth, family and relationship issues, trauma, self-harm and suicidality, alcohol related issues, stress and burnout, loneliness, attachment and co-dependency, challenging life issues, neurodivergence, limiting beliefs.
Since 2020, I have worked in a professional context with neurodiverse children and young people working with skills activities, emotional regulation and resilience building. Although autism is not a mental illness, autistic people will often struggle with co-occurring difficulties, such as anxiety, mood disorders and depression, identity and sense of self.
My main focus is person-centred, but I also integrate theory with practice, drawing on neuroscience, and incorporating many other modalities such as art therapy or sand tray therapy. Creative approaches can work really well when people don’t consciously know what the problem is or what will help. Creative approaches offer the inner subconscious an outlet for expression which can be incredibly powerful, helpful and healing. In combining all approaches, my aim is to create a unique, safe and holistic therapeutic experience.
I value building meaningful connections and hold the belief that each person possesses an innate ability to heal, grow, live a rich and happy life, and to achieve their fullest potential. I provide a nurturing and supportive relationship, offering a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings and make sense of your life experiences.
I offer space and time to explore and process emotional wounds, unresolved traumas, and patterns that have been ingrained over time, allowing you to reconnect with your inner self. It can be deeply empowering to heal parts of your past, feel more alive in the present and truly liberating to move towards the future in a more healthy relationship with yourself.
