Meet Eoin Stephens

Eoin is a Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Trainer who has worked in the areas of disability, addiction treatment, lecturing/training, and counselling/psychotherapy private practice for over 30 years. He has a particular interest in working with mental health problems such as addictive disorders and anxiety disorders, integrating elements of Humanistic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, & Compassion-Focused Therapy in his approach.

He has also worked at a senior level in Counselling/Psychotherapy education and served as vice-chair of both the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and Addiction Counsellors of Ireland.

His work is currently focused on understanding the problems faced by autistic adults and their specific therapeutic needs, within a neurodiversity-informed paradigm.

He is autistic himself, having made the discovery in 2012.

Areas of Practice: Late-discovery Adult Autism, Anxiety Disorders (Social Anxiety, Panic, Generalised Anxiety, OCD), Addictions (Substances), Behaviours (such as Porn, Gambling, Gaming)
