Meet Dr Jack Loxham
A bit about therapist (in 3rd person): Jack is a Counselling Psychologist who works from a place of curiosity and care for his clients. His main focus is on helping them get to know their own mind, the role their emotions play, and the influence of past experiences. Relationships are often at the heart of this exploration and so he also works with couples and families. Through committing to this work, Jack hopes you will begin feeling lighter, more resilient, and optimistic about your future.
Jack is a senior team member at Diverse Minds Practice specialising in neurodivergent assessments and therapy across the lifespan. He has also worked in HSE primary care and adult mental health services, the National Counselling Service for adult survivors of childhood abuse and neglect, and within student counselling services.
He mainly works psychodynamically, and also draws on Mentalisation Based Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Person Centred Therapy. Where more skills-based work is needed, he borrows methods from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
