Meet Daragh Clohessy

Daragh graduated in 2022 with a MA in Psychotherapy. His approach to psychotherapy provides clients with a safe, confidential and positive environment to explore and confront the difficulties and challenges they may face in life. He uses a collaborative method that allows the client to get to know their own self more fully and honestly, with a focus on the personal strengths and resources the client possesses.

He believes that the psychotherapy journey is not one that one takes on their own, but calls upon and is supported by the client’s wider circle of family, friends and their relation to the world outside themselves. He believes that the therapy room is a place of honesty, calm, and healing. It is a time that offers support, motivation and positivity.

Areas of Practice: Daragh works with a range of topics that people face in the course of their life including anxiety, family and relationship difficulties, depression, childhood trauma, grief and the search for meaning in life

Client Age Groups: Adults 18+

Availability: Monday evening

Favourite quote: “Psychotherapy takes place at the overlap of two areas of playing: that of the patient and that of the therapist. Psychotherapy has to do with two people playing together.” – D.W. Winnicott
