Meet Michele Twyford
Michele’s previous experience includes working with Women’s Aid and The Samaritans for a combined ten years. She offers a safe non-judgmental space to talk, explore and learn valuable skills to manage any concerns you may have.
Michele is a firm believer in the significance of collaborating with her clients to review their options, assist them in identifying their own voice, and help them live the life they aspire to. Her therapeutic approach is humanistic, putting her client’s needs first.
The Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach encourages the therapist and client to work together towards understanding difficulties in the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, body responses and behaviours. CBT helps clients break the vicious cycle of negative and unhelpful thinking and behaviour. Michele will work with you to increase your awareness of self and to learn more productive ways of thinking and coping.
In the past year she has done research into the area of Women In Menopause and hopes to continue to expand her work and knowledge in this area.
