Julie’s approach is grounded in the belief that therapy should be tailored to each individual person. As an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, she draws on a range of therapeutic approaches and adapts them to suit the needs, experiences and pace of each person. She offers a warm, compassionate and reflective space where people can explore what is bringing them to therapy, make sense of their experiences and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
Julie takes a holistic approach to therapy and is interested in how our nervous systems respond to stress, relationships and life experiences. Her work includes exploring ways to support greater nervous system regulation and a sense of steadiness during times of difficulty, while gently supporting people to reflect on past experiences, understand what is happening in the present, and consider what they would like for their lives moving forward.
At the core of Julie’s work are empathy, collaboration and genuine human connection. She values curiosity and self-exploration in therapy and supports people in developing greater self-awareness, self-compassion and acceptance, creating the conditions for meaningful and lasting change.
Julie values ongoing learning and regularly engages in supervision and professional development to support her work with clients.
In her spare time, Julie enjoys, spending time with family and friends, gardening, walking her dogs and playing music.
